Did you guys see that the demo was released yesterday?

I just booted up the demo and I have to say I am impressed! The tutorial is impressive and quite detailed (but the intermediate and advanced sections could use some more detail), something that should go a long way in making the game more comprehensible. The UI also has a nice amount of changes that will make the game much more of a joy to play.

After spending about four ho...

Aghh! Everytime I renew my EvE subscription, Egosoft releases some massive new update to X3 to steal my attention! This happens all the time; it can't be a coincidence. They're watching me....

Update 3.0 for X3: Terran Conflict

The "superbox" has also been released.

Got to admire Egosoft. The game is quite long in the tooth, but they still are adding stuff. Hopefully, we will soon hear what their next space sim is going to be as this officially concludes the ...

While going through today's press releases, I found this interesting one from German game company, Headup Games:

Headup Games has announced the launch of the official website to their upcoming game, Trapped Dead – the first tactical zombie survival game.

Trapped Dead is a tactical real time strategy game where players control their characters in a 3rd person isometric view through a mature Zombie survival scenario inspired by the successful Horror movies of the early 80...

Looks like the next Sims game will be a medieval kingdom simulator:

The Sims Medieval

This might be the first Sims game that catches my interest.  A medieval setting could offer lots of interesting gameplay.

I stumbled across this game yesterday and I've got to admit that it sounds interesting.  I really like the look of the battles, sort of like a mix between C&C and World in Conflict with a little SupCom thrown in. Even though I am tired of RTS games, the mix of two different genres - RTS and MMO gaming - could prove fun...or a terrible mess.  Guess we'll see in 2011!

At last, a television show that gets me excited.  Check out this vid for Slingers:

It hasn't been picked up yet but I bet it will soon! It has a great "Cowboy Bebop" style to it and is refreshingly original (well...except for the CB vibe, but hey, if TV wants to rip that show off, more power to 'em!). Here's hoping that the series is as good as this demo reel suggests!
